As some of you may know development on NetWars has been rather slow, dead even. This is because the gameplay and story was a bit unusual and that made it hard because we more or less had to “Re invent the wheel” which is why I’m glad to announce we have scraped that project and started a new one. Its currently labelled “Rift Of Darkness”, Rift Of Darkness will be a full fledged Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) where you the player can do a wide range of tasks. From leveling your fishing skill to saving the world. The choice is up to you.

The game will set place in the early years of the world when a god named Marideous created the 4 ancients. The ancients where some of the first people to ever live on the rock we now call home. The first ancient named Maximus was the first of the humans. The second named Valgard who was the first Orc, The third named Varda was the fist elf and lastly Darven was the first Dwarf. The four Ancients separated the planet into four sections. Each dedicated to their own race. After several years the ancients past away leaving behind thousands of Humans, Orcs, Elves and Dwarfs… After several years the inhabitance began to become curious, curious what their purpose was. What they where created. They prayed to Marideous asking why he created them and what their purpose was. Marideous knew that it was far to dangerous to tell any mortal the “Great Secret” so he devised a plan to stop anyone from ever finding out. Marideous cast a spell on the world that prevented anyone from ever knowing the true meaning of life. The races of the earth where outraged by Marideous’s response, The ors decided to launch an attack against Marideous himself, For weeks they fired ballistas and arrows into the heavens doing little other then annoy Marideous. The Dwarves decided to spite Marideous by destroying the earth he helped create. They stockpiled explosives and let blow which only hurt themselves. The elves knew nothing could physically harm the great Marideous so they decided to contact the spirits with little success. After seeing all of the other races fail the humans decided gather all of their greatest wizards together and devise some sort of potion that could break Marideous’s spell.
A young Wizard by the name of Bargan was the first to create a “working” prototype. He displayed it in front of the King. Little did Bargan know he was truly opening a rift into the darkness. Within moments of the potion being used the king was dead and his empire doomed. This is where you come in, Your family grew up 7 days travel from the King’s castle, You where born 12 days after the first rift was spawned. Your father knew that the darkness would soon be at your village. He left in the mid of night right before the raids started. Your mother scared for her life gave you away to the first person she saw making them promise to take you in and give you a home. This is the “actual” start of your journey. You get to decide who your mother gives you to, You have four choices which will determine the outcome of the game. I don’t want to spoil to much so I’ll let you wait and find out what those four choices are.
